Installation channels

Installation channels are an excellent element that allows masking of cables. The vast majority of surface-mounted installations require their use. The design of individual types of cable channels allows their use and cable management in various types of installations. They are perfect for building wall and floor installations, both in offices and production halls, workshops and industrial facilities. They are also used as masking wires and protection of telephone installations, air conditioning and low voltage lines.

Installation channels - versatile applications

Installation channels allow for clear organization and protection of all kinds of cabling. Easy access to electric lines facilitates locating possible faults and removing faults. The design and construction allow the installation channels to be used multiple times during any modifications to existing installations. There is a wide range of various types of installation channels on the market that allow for aesthetic and safe finishing of rooms.

Installation channels can be mounted and cabling can be found in floors and floor surfaces. For this purpose, semicircular electrical installation strips glued or screwed to the substrate are used. They enable protection against damage and breakage of cables, as well as masking cables in offices and workstations requiring surface supply or communication cabling.

The most common locations for installation channels are all types of offices and technical rooms. The variety of profiles and types of trays, channels and installation strips allows for any location and use. Metal galvanized suspension ducts are used for cable distribution under the ceiling and in places requiring additional protection against accidental access. Perforated surfaces and systems of dedicated fasteners and connectors facilitate the finishing of technical rooms in buildings and production areas.

Construction and types of installation channels

In modern installation, what counts is price, safety, speed of installation, the possibility of any modification and the compatibility of its individual elements. The vast majority of installation channels in all types of rooms as well as external lines are made of PVC. It is a material that guarantees high quality and durability of individual elements. The predominant colors of the individual components are white, but there are also decorative channels imitating metal or wood. The accessories enabling cable routing include, apart from the typical straight connector, usually 2 meters long, additional accessories such as internal and external corners, tees and partitions. All these accessories facilitate masking the cables and allow for any finishing of the rooms. The Marmat company offers comprehensive solutions to facilitate cable management in all types of installations.

The ease of access to cabling and the possibility of multiple use of Marmat installation channels is a factor that influences the widespread choice of this type of solution by users. PVC material is characterized by mechanical resistance, low weight, does not corrode and at the same time is easy to install. Installation channels are usually sold complete with a protective cover. The average plumbing profile profile is 20 to 60 millimeters high and 40 to 120 millimeters wide. Other dimensions are also available depending on the destination. Some types of slats have fixed or removable partitions, symmetrical or asymmetrical. The chambers inside the installation channel can then be freely arranged and grouped into sections, depending on the thickness of the bundle and the number of cables. The chambers inside also allow you to separate power cables, telephone cables or installation of computer equipment.

In addition to the basic elements enabling cable routing and masking wires, connection accessories such as electrical sockets can be mounted on two or three-chamber installation channels through PVC boxes. Plugs, endings of installation channels, splitters and spacers also facilitate any cutting and aesthetic ending of individual fragments of the installed installations.
