Este conceput pentru controlul puterii pe iesire functionand conectat cu alte dispozitive sau pentru controlul manual cu ajutorul potentiometrului. Este destinat atat consumatorilor rezistivi cat si a celor inductivi. Se poate utiliza pentru controlul turatiei motoarelor asincrone monofazate cu rotorul in scurtcircuit sau cu perii dar si ca softstarter.Doar pentru sarcini usoare (ex. pompe si ventilatoare) in care nu este necesar cuplu ridicat la turatii joase. Se alege in functie de valoarea curentului consumatorului. In cazul motoarelor se pot utiliza urmatoarele puteri: RP7 108, 0,55 kW, RP7 208, 1,1 kW, RP7 308, 2,2 kW. Se poate monta pe sina DIN.
