Description

On-Grid Photovoltaic Microinverter 4w1

Hoymiles HM-1500

  • Single PV module power: 300-470 W
  • Maximum DC input power: 1880 W
  • Peak AC output power: 1500 W
  • Supported number of PV modules: 4 pcs

Single-phase microinverter designed for simultaneous operation with a maximum of 4 photovoltaic panels. It is characterized by an extremely wide DC input voltage range ((16-60 V) and low starting voltage (only 22 V).Thanks to the independent operation of each module, the solar installation achieves the highest possible efficiency. The installation can be expanded in a modular manner by adding additional PV panels equipped with microinverters.A characteristic feature is the ability to install the device directly under PV panels. The product has an exceptionally light construction - together with the DC and AC cables, it weighs only 3,75 kg.

Key advantages:

  • Single microinverter connects to four dual MPPT PV modules
  • MPPT at module level provides 10-30% greater efficiency compared to string inverters
  • Adapted to panels with 60 and 72 cells
  • Maximum efficiency when tracking the peak power point (MPPT) during cloudy weather - 99,8%
  • High housing tightness class - IP67
  • Low starting voltage of only 22 VDC
  • Stable and reliable overvoltage protection - 6000 V
  • Reactive power regulation
  • Independent operation of panels and large flexibility in designing their arrangement on the roof
  • Easy and quick installation directly under the panels (to a roof or free-standing structure), so we do not lose valuable space inside the building
  • Integrated wiring terminated with terminals % p36/% and AC - quick connection without tools
  • Monitoring the operation of each panel separately via the Internet
  • Communication via WiFi (range 2,4GHz)
  • %p43/ % We only introduce alternating current with a voltage of 230V, into the building, which makes the installation more safe and we do not need a typical inverter at the end of the chain

Installation monitoring on -line

Each of the Hoymiles microinverters can be connected to a web server where the status of the PV installation can be monitored in real time. You can access it from a web browser or by installing a free application on your smartphone.Note - to connect to the Internet (monitoring server), it is required to use communication devices (transmitters) such as DTU-PRO WiFi or DTU-W100, available in our offer.

IP system means the degree of protection provided by enclosures against access to hazardous parts, ingress of foreign solids, ingress of water, and a system for providing additional information related to such protection.

The presented product has the following properties:

    • protection against access to hazardous parts with wire % p9/%
    • dustproof protection
    • protection against the effects of short-term immersion in water (30 min to a depth of 0,15 m above the top of the housing or 1 m above the bottom for lower housings than 0,85 m)

Microinverters - the future of PV installations

Microinverters are currently the most effective solution for small and medium-sized photovoltaic installations (up to 1 MWp).Due to their compact structure and the latest technological solutions, they influence the operation of the entire photovoltaic installation, enabling better yields from 10% to 30% from the photovoltaic installation compared to installations based on traditional string inverters.

    • Ensuring maximum safety

In photovoltaic installations based on microinverters there is DC voltage with maximum value 60V.In those based on string inverters, we have a DC voltage that can reach 1000V or 1500V,, which in turn may result in very serious consequences in the event of potential fires.

    • Optimization of installation operation

Any shading of photovoltaic modules (due to dirt , leaves, clouds) causes a decrease in their efficiency and effectiveness, and thus a loss of potential yields from the entire installation. The way microinverters work is that they start working earlier after shading occurs, but also turn off individual non-working modules so that the rest of the installation can operate at 100% of its capacity. This characteristic means that the entire installation can operate from 10% to 30% more efficiently than installations based on string inverters.

    • Easy expansion of the installation

In the case of installations based on microinverters, their expansion is no problem. We do not have to think about oversizing the string inverter at the initial stage of investment or purchasing a second, expensive device. After deciding to expand, we simply add additional microinverters and modules (the whole thing works on a plug-in basis). It is also not a problem to connect different types of modules within one installation - we can connect different types of modules to each microfinverter.

    • Monitoring

Unlike photovoltaic installations based on string inverters , installations based on microinverters present a full picture of the operation of the entire installation, including information on how each module works. This allows, first of all, to collect full data on how the installation works, but also allows for quick diagnosis of any irregularities and, consequently, their quick elimination.

    • Not always higher cost

Photovoltaic installations based on microinverters not at all they do not have to be more expensive than those with traditional inverters. If we also take into account their greater efficiency and performance, it is even better to choose a more modern photovoltaic system. The market in Poland is just introducing these solutions, but there are countries (USA, France, Great Britain) where installations based on microinverters constitute the majority of small and medium-sized photovoltaic installations.

    About the manufacturer:
