Wtyki WKG przeznaczone są do rozłącznych, wielokrotnych połączeń współosiowych kabla w.cz. (RF) z urządzeniami elektronicznymi wyposażonymi w gniazda IEC np. gniazda abonenckie, odbiorniki TV, itp. Korpus wtyku odlany jest ze stopów lekkich, co zapewnia dużą stabilność mechaniczną i bardzo dobre ekranowanie. W gwintowany otwór korpusu wkręca się przewód współosiowy z oplotem wywiniętym na jego zewnętrzny płaszcz. Połączenie wtyku z żyłą wewnętrzną następuje automatycznie (mechanizm docisku), bez lutowania.
