Edge plates

End plates are intended primarily for bolted and spring-type connectors. They are responsible for the safety and lifetime of these components. This is why they are characterized by their robustness. They use proven spring clamp technology that is fast, shock-resistant and maintenance-free.

Endplates: Characteristics

End plates serve to provide additional protection against accidental short-circuiting of the terminal block. They can be freely used for those connectors in which direct access to the metal parts remains after installation in the distribution box. When assembling the terminals into larger sets it is often necessary to separate the individual sections. Then a partition plate is ideal. This type of partition blocks the possibility of short-circuiting the sections with a sphincter. You should be aware that just putting a partition does not eliminate the possibility of electrical connection between individual sections, which can be done by breaking the part of the partition located at the level of terminals and mounting a wire in the terminals of rigid conductors.

End plates, apart from being an additional stiffening of the set, serve to increase the insulation of the terminal block. They can be used for terminals in which direct access to metal parts remains after installation in the distribution box. Thanks to the same external outline, the same terminal plate can be used with terminals of different rating. The connectors make it possible to cover the terminals from above. This is an effective protection against access to the terminal screws and the sphincter, and against the ingress of dirt. They can also be used to additionally label the connector independently of the markers. The mounting strips, markers and keepers are mounted on both sides of the connector row. These hold the connectors in place, preventing shifting and skewing caused by rigid conductors.
