Finland Phases Out Coal Ahead of Schedule
The closure of the Salmisaari power plant means Finland is achieving its national goal of phasing out coal four years ahead of schedule. According to the company Helen, this change not only reduces emissions and increases the country's energy independence but also helps lower electricity bills for Finns.
Nearly One Billion Zloty for Energy Communities
Łukasz Tomaszewski, Director of the Renewable Energy Sources Department at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, reported on the implementation of the 'Renewable Energy Installations by Energy Communities' program, with a budget of PLN 845 million from the National Recovery Plan. The program supports energy clusters and cooperatives involved in electricity generation and distribution.
