The THINKWE fire protection switch (pronounced -TIMQI) is a device used to connect and disconnect direct voltage from photovoltaic panels
The advantage is the metal housing.
It is controlled automatically by the AC network.
The purpose of the switch is to disconnect the DC circuit when the AC power supply is interrupted and to automatically reconnect the DC circuit when the AC power supply is restored.
This situation occurs in the event of a power grid failure or intentional power cut-off to a building when there is a fire hazard.
The fire protection switch does not require maintenance and is fully automatic
A correctly installed switch will obtain a positive opinion from fire protection experts and meets the provisions of the amendment to the Act
Construction Law, which came into force on 19 September 2020 for photovoltaic installations with a capacity of more than 6,5 kWp.
An additional advantage of the THINKWE solution is the possibility of installing the disconnector without disassembling it or opening the housing to connect the wires
This shortens the installation time of the disconnector to a minimum.
For manual (emergency) switching off, a fire protection button with NC contact is required (additionally available on request.)
