NIBE air/water split heat pump, with modulated heating power 3-8 kW:

Air heat pumps/ NIBE SPLIT water type are devices in which the refrigeration system is divided into two units: an external unit equipped with a NIBE AMS inverter compressor and an internal one, which is selected depending on the system's function.The units are connected by a piping system filled with refrigerant.If the system is to operate solely on central heating, the AMS outdoor unit is connected to the HBS 05 indoor unit and the SMO controller.If the NIBE SPLIT heat pump is to heat the building and produce domestic hot water, the external unit is connected to the compact HK 200, central unit with an integrated domestic hot water tank. and external SMO controller.If the demand for hot water is higher, the outdoor unit should be equipped with an HBS 05 indoor unit and one of the VVM units or an external hot water tank. and SMO controller.

In case of high heat demand, it is possible to cascade a maximum of 8 AMS and HBS units.NIBE SPLIT heat pumps ensure the thermal comfort of the building in the summer thanks to the built-in active cooling function.

NIBE SPLIT heat pumps have a built-in active cooling function, implemented by reversing the circulation.The refrigerant in the AMS 10 outdoor unit recovers heat from the installation water, which is then thrown outside, and as a result, the heat pump performs the cooling function.
