PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

EPDM is a specialized, one-component, hybrid adhesive-sealant, intended for EPDM membranes and similar materials.

APPLICATION

• Bonding and sealing membranes and EPDM foils on roofs, facades, floors, etc.

• Roofing seals

• Repair of EPDM membranes

SURFACE TYPES

EPDM, glass, concrete, plaster, building ceramics, painted or impregnated wood, glazed, glazed, enameled surfaces, steel, copper, zinc, aluminum and other metals, selected plastics.Do not use on bituminous substrates, PE, PP, PTFE, rubber, natural stone.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be dry, clean and degreased.A highly wet surface (e.g. concrete) reduces the bond strength.For connections with highly porous and absorbent substrates, e.g. concrete, aerated concrete, untreated wood, use the Bostik Prep MSP primer.Clean non-absorbent, smooth, glazed, glazed, enamel surfaces with Bostik Solvent 300i, if necessary prime with Bostik Prep M.If in doubt, perform an adhesion test.

HOW TO USE

Sealing:

In case of deep gaps, use an expansion cord in order to smooth the joint, obtain the correct cross-section of the joint and avoid three-sided contact of the mass with the surface.After application, smooth the mass with a spatula, dipped in water with a little soap admixture, within a maximum of 0 minutes from application. The grout should have a shape that allows water to run freely on it.

Bonding:

See the EPDM manufacturer's instructions.Apply with parallel, vertical stripes, keeping small gaps (depending on the size of the glued elements).Maintain a minimum thickness of 2 mm of the joint (necessary for proper hardening of the adhesive and effective transfer of deformations).In the case of membranes and EPDM tapes, keep an overlap of at least 5 cm.Join the glued materials together and press evenly. For smoothing, it is best to use a silicone roller.

REMARKS

Read the information provided on the label and in the product safety data sheet.The product remains slightly tacky on the surface, even when fully cured.During processing and hardening, avoid contact with alcohol vapors, hydrocarbons, cleaning agents and solvents.
