Liquid level control relays
Liquid level control relays, i.e. liquid level sensors, are devices equipped with probes with which they can protect apartments, houses or offices against flooding. Therefore, it is worth getting them when there is a risk of flooding in a specific area. This is important in particularly humid areas.
Liquid level control relays: characteristics
Liquid level monitoring relays operate by taking advantage of the conductivity of the liquid. Each liquid level sensor works by taking advantage of the conductivity of the liquid. If any part of the building is extremely vulnerable to flooding, the more you should think about using relays of this type. Laundries, utility rooms and those rooms with water valves or flow pipes are places that should be especially taken into account. If a room is flooded by water and a failure occurs, the liquid level sensors detect the danger by shorting the probe electrodes. Depending on the model you have, the sensor can turn off the alarm and disconnect the electrical circuits at the same time. This protection against flooding is extremely effective. The following models stand out among the sensors available on the market:
single-state,
binary,
tri-state.
Single-state relays can be mounted on a flat surface, and a short circuit of the probe electrodes will indicate a flood. On the other hand, in two-state models, you can find types with so-called alarm states: dry running and overfilling.
All probes are equipped with an automatic anti-flood system, which quickly detects and immediately prevents any irregularities. Up to 10 probes can be connected in modern sensors. Liquid level sensors are classified mainly due to the different level of water mineralization. Therefore, you can buy a version of the sensors with the sensitivity setting or the version with the factory-set value of the response sensitivity. The liquid level control relays are indexed with "RC".
The most innovative models of liquid level control relays, designed to meet the protection of property protection, have an automatic anti-flood system ASP. It is an autonomous system that prevents flooding of single- and multi-family residential buildings. It can be used precisely for the purpose of comprehensive protection of property against the effects of possible flooding.
Liquid Level Control Relays: Guaranteed Complete Safety
Automatic liquid level control relays are to guarantee safety in the buildings in which they will be installed. They detect liquids that could endanger users if they become electrically conductive. Everything is indicated by a reliable flood probe, i.e. an electrode made of acid-resistant steel, placed in a plastic cover. The probes in the relays can be mounted in series or in parallel. As liquid level control relays are used to detect the presence of electrically conductive liquids at the level of the installed flood probe, always make sure that they are fitted accurately.
When selecting a specific probe, one should take into account parameters such as: power supply, load current, separated contact, sensitivity, LED power signaling, LED operation status indication, power consumption, probe dimensions, electrode length and electrode voltage. The probes are connected in series for a dependent fluid level control system at multiple points. In this case, for the activation of the liquid level control relay, it is required that all connected sensors short-circuit simultaneously. The parallel connection is intended for an alternative fluid level control system at several points. At least one of the connected sensors must be short-circuited. It must be remembered that when using a series connection, the conductivity and thus the sensitivity of the sensors are reduced.
