LED lamps

For several years, LED lamps have become synonymous with cost-effective light sources. The semiconductor technology allows not only to reduce electricity costs, but also to create interesting, elegant shapes of lamps. The application is very wide, and customers are increasingly leaning towards such integrated solutions.

How to choose LED lamps?

The main criterion when choosing a LED lamp should be its target place of use. According to this, it is worth choosing the right shape, as well as color, size, light color and power. Importantly, you need to verify whether the light is to be atmospheric or typically practical - for example as lighting for a workplace or communication route.

LED lamps can take the form of a single point - both surface-mounted and recessed - a staircase lighting fixture, chandelier, wall lamp. There are quite a few possibilities, and the common denominator is one, in the form of permanently installed diodes. This means that in the event of a breakdown or use of the product, it is completely replaced.

How much do LED lamps cost?

Price is of course also a very important part of the selection process. In the case of LED lamps, the forks are very wide and depend on several factors. The first is the type of LEDs used, similar to the popular LED strips that can be bought by the meter. The second determinant is the aesthetic value.

Of course, the better the quality of the material used to build the lamp, the higher the price per piece. Paying more, you can also expect a better class of power supply, which is also one of the most important elements in the entire design. With the cheapest luminaires, it often happens that the power supply is damaged most quickly, before the moment of the final degradation of the diodes.

What to look for when choosing LED lamps?

The first important technical aspect is the color temperature. Most often it is set permanently, slightly less often it is used as an element of regulation. It is expressed in Kelvin - the lower the value, the warmer the color. For example, warm lighting is the one marked 2700 K or 3000 K in the parameters. White, sometimes referred to as "blue", is one with a note of 4000 K or more. Choosing a 3500K LED lamp produces a neutral color. Each of them has a different application - warm light is perfect for the living room, white light in a restaurant or workplace, and neutral light, for example in the corridor.

In addition to the temperature, the number of lumens is also important. The more there are, the brighter the beam of light. It is very important that the light output is matched to the room and the needs of users. Too weak light will cause discomfort, too strong. In addition, the number of lumens goes hand in hand with the number of watts, indicating energy efficiency. The higher the power, the faster one kilowatt hour will be used. However, in the case of LED lamps it is much less than in the case of traditional incandescent lamps.

Elegance and simplicity

The most important advantage of LED lamps is their simplicity. You don't need to think about bulb selection and thread verification. What is most important is in the specification attached by the manufacturer, the user only needs to install the lamp in the place of his choice. Most of these types of light sources are created with practical applications in mind. Thanks to this, the potential of the lighting surface is used to the maximum - LED lamps can often be quite slim and have a compact design.

At the same time, simplicity does not preclude elegance - thanks to the use of LEDs, these lamps can have virtually any shape. It is also easier to develop almost completely smooth models that delight with a uniform surface. The design of LED lamps can also be very bold, referring to both traditional stylistics and quite modern, futuristic shapes.

Integrated LED lamps are recommended for both domestic and commercial interiors. Energy-saving, nice and practical - they delight all recipients. It is worth remembering about the right color, power and brightness so that the lighting fits properly into the interior.
