Screwdrivers Electrical Testers
Electric tester screwdrivers are a subtype of these tools equipped with a fluorescent phase indicator. These tools are used for phase detection and minor assembly/disassembly work in home or office electrical networks.
Construction of electrical tester screwdrivers
Electric tester screwdrivers have an elongated handle in which there is a contact element (called a pole) connected through a series resistor to a fluorescent lamp, which in turn is connected to a steel blade ending in a flat tip. The handle and insulation of such screwdrivers is often made of transparent plastic. These tools are equipped with clips for hanging in pockets. They can detect phases up to 250 V.
Types of electric tester screwdrivers T
A distinction is made between transparent and non-transparent electrical tester screwdrivers on the basis of the type of plastic used for the handle and the insulation of the blade.
Main technical data of electric tester screwdrivers
The technical parameters that characterize electric tester screwdrivers are: total length, blade length, handle length, type and size of blade tip, voltage range of detected phases, total weight.
Applications for electric tester screwdrivers
These tools are used for work on home or office electrical networks with voltages up to 230 V. These screwdrivers are therefore mainly used by electricians and electrical technicians. They are manufactured by Bahco, Felo, Gedore, Hazet, Stanley, Wera, Wiha and many others.
