Cans and fixture carriers
Boxes and accessories carriers are part of cable installation channels. They are used for the assembly of various electrical equipment, enabling powering workstations in office spaces and connecting electrical receivers in residential buildings. Due to the ease of installation, cable ducts with equipment carriers are also used in small craft factories, workshops or utility rooms. This solution is characterized by high flexibility, safety and aesthetics of performance. The ease of assembly and shorter installation time are also a big advantage.
Cans and fixture carriers in the channels
Cable ducts are used to distribute the electrical and ICT installations in the building. Due to the high level of security and the possibility of convenient access to cables, they are very often used in commercial real estate.
This solution is particularly convenient in the case of office space. It is always perfect when you need to quickly change the arrangement of the office space - without removing the wires from under the plaster. What's more - in this type of installations, low-current and high-current cables are isolated from each other. Thanks to the use of earthing kits, the risk of electric shock to building users is minimized.
Launching a new workplace requires routing a channel to the new employee's workplace. Boxes and fixture carriers can be mounted directly in the duct - providing access to sockets and connectors. In order to cover the connections between the strip and the duct, a duct-rail adapter is used - it is an indispensable element for the aesthetic installation of the accessory holder at the end or along the duct.
Cans and accessories carriers - types
Thanks to the special structure adapted to installation in cable ducts, boxes and equipment carriers are very easy to install. Most often they use a snap handle, so you can simply push them into the appropriate grooves inside the channel - this solution definitely facilitates the later change of the can position. In the case of screw handles - they must be screwed in with screws.
Products in this category may vary in size. The basic type of product is single box, however, 3-way, 8-way boxes are also used. Thanks to the modular structure of cable channels, connecting the boxes is extremely convenient.
Boxes and tool carriers may be available in versions with a front panel - a perfect example of such a product is the DLP handle. Thanks to it, you can aesthetically provide access to the socket or connector in cable channels. Such a DLP holder is designed for installation in LeGrand cable conduits.
In addition to boxes and carriers for mounting accessories, there are also insulation boxes. They are used to insulate mechanisms and are most often available in a complete, 2-module version.
Boxes and carriers of accessories are available in versions adapted to different types of channels. Before selecting a product, check that the solution is compatible with the installed cable ducts.
Floor cans and fixture carriers
The boxes and fixture carriers do not have to be mounted directly in the cable ducts. Various floor boxes are also used in office and public buildings. Their advantage is the possibility of installing a collective supply point and its placement in a concrete (or raised) floor.
There are also heavy duty floor boxes which are used when the lid is placed under more severe conditions. Then a load of up to 2 tons can act on the can cover. In such products, resistance to external factors and moisture is also a very important factor. In the case of cans and utensil carriers intended for dry-cleaned floors, they should provide IP 30 protection. If the substrate is to be wet mopped, this value should be IP 66.
