The MultiPlus is a combination of inverter and charger.   

The Victron Energy Multiplus II is a combination device that plays a central role in your home's power network.On the one hand, it is an inverter that converts the direct current from the batteries into usable alternating current for operating household appliances.In the event of a power outage, it acts as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to ensure you continue to receive power even in this event.On the other hand, it can also serve as a charger for your home storage system and recharge the batteries using the public grid if the PV yield is insufficient.The Multiplus Il is designed to automatically switch between different functions depending on the needs of your home to ensure a reliable power supply. 
The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.It has all the functions of the MultiPlus and also an option for an external current transformer to implement the Power Control and PowerAssist functions and to optimize self-consumption with external current measurement (max. 32 A).
